Into the dark and then into the light.

More photos from my honeymoon plus 20 vacation.

These were taken from a moving car with a point and shoot, so the quality suffered a little.

A Brand New Gate

I have driven past this place for years, I always thought it strange that someone had tens of thousands of dollars of heavy equipment with out any kind of a gate. Last weekend that changed, they put up a gate in style!!!

Sunday Stairs #1

Going Down
I have become intrigued by stairs. I have developed a small collection of stair photos over the last year, so I am going to post one photo on every Sunday until I run out.

I See A Squirrel With A Clown Hat, What Do You See?

When I look at this photo, I see a Squirrel hanging on with its tail curled under, eating a nut. There is a clown hot on top of its head. What do you see?

I am not sure if you can see it better in black and white.

Today was our first real snow, I saw this fence, I had to stop and take a picture.

Don't fence me in.

This photos was taken along the Boise River on the Garden City Greenbelt.
This past weekend I went hiking with my Daughter and Son In law in the military reserve part of the Boise Foothills. I found this great fence and had to take a photo.

Let's Go Fishing!!!

Boise has a "Green belt" that runs for several miles along the Boise river. I ran into this gentleman in the parking lot, he was kind enough to let me photograph him fly fishing. He had two bites in the first 15 minutes he was in the water. The duck is just an added bonus.

It Looks Like A Box

 Time to wake up...
 This looks like a BOX!!!
Does it open on the front?
I will get inside this box one way or another.
That was exhausting, time to go back to sleep.

First snow in Boise

Last week it was 70 degrees and sunny, when I woke up this morning it was snowing. The high dessert of Boise has very distinct seasons. One day it is fall like weather the next it is winter.

"Isn't there anyone who knows what Christmas is all about?" (Charlie Brown)

I think Charlie Brown got it right, the true meaning of Christmas has been lost, replaced by corporate greed. I went to the Boise Towne Square Mall Friday morning before the mall was open. They had man lifts all over the place hanging Christmas lights. Many businesses still had the come in to our store for trick or treat candy signs on the windows. There was a sign that Santa is coming next weekend. Can we at least wait until after Thanksgiving to start all of this. Thanksgiving and Veterans Day are lost holidays because there is not any money in it. Maybe I am just getting old, but my perfect Christmas is just getting together with family and friends for good food and cheer. Gifts are an unnecessary stress once the kids are grown.
