This beautiful Crocus was in my flowerbed yesterday. This morning when I went outside it was already gone.
Rose-hips still hanging on from the fall.

  1. Great macro shots! I guess crocuses don't stick around for too long. At least they are pretty when they bloom!

  2. Thank you. This was my very first flower macro shot with my new lens. I have never had a true macro lens until few weeks ago. When I went home for lunch I had 2 new flowers completely open that were not there last night.

    1. I Love my new camera. I can now do things I only dreamed of before.

  4. David - welcome to the world of Macro; hours on end of photographing things you only barely noticed before, you will now view with a keener interest and more intensified clarity. These are wonderful shots and it is so true that many little beauties of nature only make a brief appearance but leave such an impression.

Thank you for visiting my blog. You are right about seeing things that went unnoticed before. I have only had the macro lens for less than a month, enjoying it very much. The flowers are not even here yet!

  5. Thank you so much for coming by my blog and commenting on my Overpasses post! I enjoyed these shots, though I'm sad your crocus croaked. (ooh, bad pun!) Hopefully there will be many more again soon that will stay!

  6. My yard is coming to life, I will give that Macro lens a good workout this summer.

Thanks for dropping by, I'd love to hear from you!
