  2. I am always wondering what stories they could tell...and I love old, old buildings no matter if they are barn, house, shed or whatever. All pull at my heartstrings.

    1. Thank you for visiting. The third & forth one I went for content not quality as they were drive by's I had Nancy drive home, so I could take some pictures. If I stopped at every great photo opp we never would have gotten home.

  3. I always find old buildings fascinating. I don't know what it is about them but maybe just wondering what stories they have to tell.
    Thanks for sharing.

    1. I am always amazed at how a house can just be abandoned. To me our homes are such an investment of finances and emotions, how can people just walk away from them.

  5. Very nice photos. Love the 3rd one from the top with all that snow and blue sky. Simply lovely, even with the dilapidated buildings in the forefront.

    1. Thank you, it is a surprise that house is still there. It is on a street with million dollar condos overlooking Lake Ponderosa.

  6. That top photo, although I'm sure a home, looks like an old one room school house. I'd love to see inside of that white house too.

The barn, very sad, but still holding on against the elements of time. A battle that it will eventually lose. Glad you got the shots.

Are these buildings all in the same area?

    1. Thank you for visiting. The first and third photos are interesting old homes. They have both been abandoned for years, and the only two old structures left on that street. They both literally have a million dollar view of Lake Ponderosa, there is nothing in front of them to obscure the Lake. All of the other homes around them are very expensive condos. The barn photos are not as good as I would like simply because they were drive by's. I decided to post them despite the quality.

  8. It is always sad to see abandoned buildings and especially homes. I always think of all of the wonderful memories that are probably associated with homes. I remember how sad my Mom was when she realized that one of her childhood homes had been sold to make room for a business park. She went out to visit one last time, but it was to late it had been torn down. To the company that bought it just saw it as something that was in the way, Mom saw it as home.
