A Winter Wonderland

My first annual New Years day hike was a winter wonderland.
A view of the Boise River from the Garden City Greenbelt

This is a private party. We found a part of the pond that is not frozen
Linked with Water World Wednesday
I even saw a "Winter Rose"

  1. A stunning winter wonderland indeed. Nice to know that the ducks still have a comfortable spot on the pond.
    Happy New Year!

    1. Thank you, there was even a better plant stake that did not turn out to my liking "Jack Frost"

    1. Thank you for your comment. I felt really bad about the ducks, I was trying to get a picture of then on the only dry spot under a tree, but I ended up forcing them into the water. They did not seem to mind the water, because just down the trail there were hundreds of ducks, all in the river so I guess they are used to the cold.
